Important Types of Christian Home Business Goals

By Gary Hamblin

Significant Types of Goals -

Id like to suggest a couple of areas to consider when setting goals:

Your spiritual goals are always going to be the goals that carry your very highest importance. Don't leave the quiet time you must spend with God up to chance, or it will just end up being left off of your schedule. You must set aside time for God, or other things will fill that time period, and God will not become a part of your weekly schedule. Every week you must plan on where and when to meet with the Lord. You just might need to closely look at your current quiet time schedule with God, or you must start one if you aren't already spending time alone with God.

Joining a small group within your church like a Sunday school class, prayer team, or support group that looks to find God's answers to difficult situations, is another great spiritual goal. It is even a great idea to start a small business prayer group within your church if one doesn't already exist. Offering your time to start a small group at your church is time well spent on achieving your goals, but it is even more important because you can make a big difference in other people's lives. Always focus on helping the lives of others, and God will take care of your life!

Serving others is another wonderful spiritual goal that uplifts the hearts of many. Consider joining the church that you currently attend, if you have not already joined as an official church member. Investigate the church ministries your church has to offer, and join some to help out other Christians that are in need. Also reach out and help as many people as you can who don't know the Lord yet. Start giving back to your church community along with your fellowship, and make this a year that is focused on the serving of others inside and outside your church.

For you to have significant growth as a spouse, friend, parent, boss, or employee, you must have good character goals. Ask yourself these questions on character:

1) What would I like to become?

2) What one thing would I like to see God change in me?

3) What character quality could I improve upon to make me a better spouse, parent, friend, etc.?

I would like to share some great character goals that I have for myself:

* A husband that is worthy of praise and respect

* A father worth imitating

* A leader that is worth following

And why do I feel these objectives are important? That is what God has called me to be! To move myself in this direction will lead me to a deep sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. To become these things will make my time on earth worth having been here. . . . It will set a pace and direction for my children that, if followed, will ensure for them the best quality of life they can experience as well. I know why I want to achieve these goals. That motivation will help me in the choices I make and will guard me when temptation comes.

It's Important To Get Started Now -

Don't make the mistake of not getting started on your goals, because you feel sorry that you didn't take action on this sooner. Just determine what areas of your life could use some very specific goals, and get to work on them. It is never too late to improve your situation, whether it is about finances, relationships, or health, dont waste anymore time and just take action.

Figure out where you want to be in a few months or a year from now, and then rely on God to give you the strength to stay on course. A good way to stay accountable to your goals is to ask a friend to hold you accountable and have them periodically check up on you.

It is now time to sit down and make a plan for the days ahead, so that you will make sure to use your time efficiently. With your goals in place and your schedule laid out, you will be amazed when you find out that you are among the very few to have completed year end goals for your Christian home based business. You will also find out that you have left very little undone in your business.
