You dont want your time, money, and priorities to be dictated by others, and this will happen unless we give some honest thought on how to reach our Christian Home Business Goals. We must first identify high priority life objectives and goals for ourselves, and then pray about them, so we can make sure they are along the same path of what our Lord wants for us. This will create a strong and intimate relationship with our Lord, and it will also give us a strong partnership with the one partner who can produce great success for us in achieving our goals - and that partner is our Lord.
Our Lord needs to be a part of our goals and planning, as He will be our ultimate success partner. It can also result in much healthier relationships with your family and friends, as you will obtain the peace of mind that comes from having a well-planned strategy. As Proverbs says, The plans of the diligent lead surely to advantage (Proverbs 21:5).
Goals and Motivation (the Why):
To begin, I encourage you to write down each of your goals. You must also remember to keep your mind and heart open to Gods desires for you. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, a mans heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. That doesnt mean you are not supposed to make plans and set priorities. But it does mean that on occasion, you will need to adjust your focus as God reveals His true purposes for your life.
Once your objectives are written down and listed, you will then need to write down why its important for these objectives to be met. That way, youll know your motivation for each goal you set. For instance, your plan may be to have a solid 2nd income coming in from a Christian home business. Why? Perhaps you hope to live without debt or would like the assurance of having a solid 2nd income should anything happen to your health or employment status.
The creation of the why will motivate you to continue on with your plans, even when things come up that could easily cause you to abandon your goals. Also, in order to achieve your dreams, its important to have a clear idea of what your objectives are and why they are worth achieving.
It's Time To Get Started -
It doesnt matter if your objectives involve relationships, finances, or health, dont waste any time feeling bad that you have not taken any action yet. Just start to focus on the areas of your life that need specific goals, and go to work on them. It is never too late.
Instead, begin to establish where you want to be six months or a year from now, and ask God to give you the strength to stay on track. Enlist a friend to hold you accountable and periodically check up on your progress.
To ensure that you use your time well, sit down and make a schedule for the coming days. When the year ends, you will be amazed that you are among the minority who ended the year with more goals accomplished for your Christian home business and the one with very little left undone.
